Dax Shepard does more than hate Kristen Bell; he's ruining her legacy
A lesson that being married to the wrong man costs women way more than just their sanity - their reputations too.
I wrote a post the other day mentioning Kirsten Bell. After proofreading, I wondered, “Wait, is it Kirsten or Kristen?” It’s the latter.
In the googling, though, a summary of her resume popped up, and I began reading through it: Gossip Girl, The Good Place, Frozen, Veronica Mars, the list goes on. She has genuinely had an excellent run in Hollywood with numerous successful productions to her name.
So then I thought to myself, “She has an impressive resume, how come she isn’t considered A-list?” But then I noticed the news alerts about her too - she was at the Oscars. That is an A-list event for A-list actors. So how come I don’t see her as such? I don’t think she is portrayed as such in the media.
Then I realized: it’s that damn man.
Kristen Bell is married to actor Dax Shepard. I don’t know what he’s been in. I think he has a podcast. All I know for certain is that he hates his wife. Whenever I hear about Kristen Bell in the media, it’s always her fighting allegations that she is married to an awful, resentful man. And she absolutely is, in my opinion. And that constant public defending is ruining her reputation. When people think of Kristen Bell now, they think of her putting up with her loser husband, not her tremendous success.
It’s sad - she’s seemingly so warm and bubbly, and he’s just so dismissive and cold to her.
Now, I know someone’s response is gonna be “Well, why are you distilling a successful woman down to her relationship?” Because that is what Kristen has done by continuing to be with him and by going to the media about her marriage every five minutes to defend an obvious lie. That is an issue worth public discourse - women deserve to know the real implications of marrying the wrong person.
The lesson here: a bad man will always ruin you, and you only have everything to gain by leaving them. Not only is Dax Shepard a drain on Kristen Bell, but he’s also draining the reputation she has worked so hard to build over her career. Her relationship problems detract from her success because of how blatant his hatred is for her, how delusional she is about it, and the fact that she’s in the press more for defending him than for her work.
